2016 year-end project [3 week deadline]

AOKA started with the color red and blue, which can mean a lot of things. In AOKA, Red means the past and blue means the future. Aka means red in Japanese and Ao means blue so that's where the name " AOKA" came from. The goal was to make a beautiful, highly stylized and calm video game with an underlying story element.

AOKA tells the story of 2 entities who are in mentally connected with each other but live in 2 different dimensions. It's not until the ending that they (and the player) realize that they're the same person, one from the past and one from the future.

The core gameplay is switching between our blue and red character, aka travelling between the future and the past. By changing the time you're also effecting the surrounding area's. With this mechanic you can solve puzzles and progress through the level to discover the truth.
